What are Nano Brows?
Full brows and natural definition, without the daily pencil
Nano Brows are a form of cosmetic eyebrow tattooing created using a digital machine and an ultra-fine needle. Individual hairstrokes are placed throughout the brow to mimic the appearance, direction and movement of natural brow hair.
Rather than creating a solid or heavily filled-in finish, the technique allows your artist to build shape, density and definition exactly where it is needed while keeping the overall result soft and realistic.
For clients with sparse or thin eyebrows, Nano Machine Hairstrokes can create the appearance of beautifully fuller brows while still allowing your natural brow hair and features to lead the result.

Using a digital machine fitted with an ultra-fine needle, your artist carefully builds individual Nano Machine Hairstrokes throughout the brow, adjusting their placement to follow your natural growth pattern and create a result that feels balanced with your features.
The technique is machine-based rather than created with the manual blade used in traditional microblading, giving your artist precise control over the placement of each stroke.

Nano Brows vs Microblading
Both Nano Brows and microblading are designed to create the appearance of individual brow hairs, but the way those hairstrokes are created is different.
Traditional microblading uses a manual hand tool, while Nano Brows use a digital machine fitted with an ultra-fine needle to place pigment into the skin.

01. Consultation & design
We begin by discussing your brows, skin and the result you would like to achieve. Your artist then carefully maps your new shape so you can see and approve the design before treatment begins.
Your Nano Brows treatment
Once the design is agreed, topical numbing is applied and your artist begins creating individual Nano Machine Hairstrokes, carefully adjusting the direction and density throughout the brow for a soft, natural result.
03. Healing & perfecting
Your brows will gradually soften as they heal and the pigment settles. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions and return for your perfecting appointment once the initial healing process is complete.
AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
Nano Brows healing
Fresh Nano Brows will initially look darker and more defined than the final healed result. During the healing process, the colour and appearance of the hairstrokes gradually soften before settling into their finished look.
Most visible healing occurs within the first week, while the pigment can continue settling over the following weeks. The current M Brows guidance allows around six weeks for the final result to fully settle.
Healing and pigment retention vary between clients, which is why following your aftercare instructions and allowing your brows time to settle before judging the final result is important.
Your perfecting appointment allows your artist to review how the pigment has healed and refine the brows where required.
Your Nano Brows questions, answered
That is exactly what the technique is designed to achieve. Individual hairstrokes are placed to follow the direction and flow of natural brow hair, creating definition without an all-over block of colour.
Nano Brows are semi-permanent and typically last around 1.5 to 3 years. Longevity varies depending on factors including your skin, lifestyle, sun exposure, aftercare and individual pigment retention.
Topical numbing is applied before and during the treatment to help keep you comfortable. Sensation differs between clients, but the current M Brows client guidance describes it as generally manageable.

They may be. M Brows regularly uses the Nano Machine Hairstrokes technique with clients who have combination, oily or sensitive skin, although suitability and expected retention vary from person to person. Your artist will assess your skin and brows before recommending a treatment.
This depends on the colour, shape and saturation of the existing pigment. Your previous cosmetic tattoo needs to be assessed before treatment, and fading or removal may sometimes be recommended before new hairstrokes are created.
Nano Brows create individual hairstrokes for a soft, hair-like appearance. Ombré Brows use shading to create a more polished, makeup-style finish, while Combination Brows bring both techniques together.
