NANO HAIRLINE | STRATHFIELD, SYDNEY

Ultra-fine Nano Hairline strokes designed to create a softer, fuller-looking hairline that moves naturally with you

At M Brows & Beauty, Nano Hairline uses an ultra-fine single needle and digital machine to recreate the appearance of delicate baby hairs along the frontal hairline, temples and smaller areas of thinning.

Each stroke is individually designed to follow your natural growth direction and carefully colour-matched to your skin tone and existing hair, creating subtle density where you want it without the appearance of a heavily tattooed hairline.

With results typically lasting around 1 to 2 years, Nano Hairline can give you more freedom to wear your hair back, change your parting or step away from powders and styling tricks used to disguise sparse areas.

What is Nano Hairline tattoo?

Natural-looking hairline definition

Nano Hairline is a specialised cosmetic tattoo technique that creates the appearance of fine, individual hairs along the frontal hairline and temples.

Using a digital machine fitted with an ultra-fine needle, your artist places delicate hairstrokes through sparse or recessed areas, following the direction, spacing and movement of your natural hair growth.

Rather than creating a solid block of pigment, the technique is designed to mimic the look of soft baby hairs, helping create the appearance of greater density and a more balanced hairline.

The result is cosmetic rather than medical. Nano Hairline does not regrow hair or treat hair loss. It creates the appearance of additional hair where carefully placed strokes can blend naturally with what is already there.

More freedom with your hair

A hairline that stops deciding your hairstyle

For many clients, the frustration is not simply the hairline itself. It is everything they have learned to do around it.

Keeping the same parting because it hides the temples. Reaching for hair powder before leaving the house. Avoiding slicked-back styles. Feeling conscious when your hair is wet, tied up or pulled away from the face.

Nano Hairline is designed to soften the appearance of sparse areas and create more visual density along the front of the hairline, giving you greater freedom to style your hair without constantly thinking about what needs to be concealed.

The goal is not to create an entirely new hairline. It is to thoughtfully restore the appearance of softness, balance and density where it has been lost.

THE NANO TECHNIQUE

Fine strokes, placed with precision

Creating a believable hairline requires far more than placing pigment along the forehead. Stroke direction, spacing, length, colour and density all need to work with the natural hair surrounding them.

Using an ultra-fine Nano needle and digital machine, your artist carefully builds individual strokes that mimic the appearance of natural baby hairs. The direction and density are adjusted throughout the treatment so the result blends into your existing hairline rather than sitting visibly in front of it.

The machine-based technique also allows for highly controlled stroke placement with less surface trauma than a manual blading technique, supporting a relatively straightforward initial healing process.

NANO HAIRLINE VS SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION

What’s the difference between Nano Hairline and SMP?

Nano Hairline is a form of scalp micropigmentation, but the treatment approach and intended result are different from traditional full-scalp SMP.

Nano Hairline
Nano Hairline focuses on the highly visible frontal hairline, temples and smaller isolated areas.

Ultra-fine strokes are used to recreate the appearance of individual hairs where the detail needs to look believable up close.

Traditional Scalp Micropigmentation
Traditional SMP is commonly used across larger areas of the scalp to create the appearance of greater density or a closely shaved follicle effect.

At M Brows & Beauty, our speciality is detailed frontal hairline work. We treat the temples, frontal hairline and smaller frontal areas rather than providing full-crown or full-scalp density treatments.

Who it's for

Who is Nano Hairline suited to?

Nano Hairline suits men and women wanting to soften the appearance of thinning, recession or uneven density around the front of the hairline.

It can be particularly useful if you:

  • have thinning or recessed temples
  • want to soften the appearance of a higher or uneven frontal hairline
  • have smaller sparse or isolated frontal areas
  • regularly use hair powder or styling techniques to disguise thinning
  • avoid certain hairstyles because they expose the hairline
  • want subtle cosmetic density without undergoing surgical hair restoration
prefer a fine, hair-like finish rather than traditional full-scalp SMP

Your existing hair growth, skin, area of concern and desired result will all be assessed during consultation before treatment is recommended.

Nano Hairline Before & After

Designed to disappear into the hairline

The most successful Nano Hairline results do not look like a tattoo. The fine strokes should sit naturally amongst your existing hair and create the impression of softness and density where the hairline needs it most.

What to expect

Your Nano Hairline Appointment

01. Consultation & design

We begin by discussing the areas you would like to refine, how you currently wear your hair and the amount of density you want to create. Your artist assesses your natural growth pattern and maps the treatment area before proceeding.

02. Your treatment

Once the design and colour have been agreed, topical numbing is applied and your artist begins creating ultra-fine strokes throughout the selected area. Each stroke is placed to follow the surrounding growth direction and blend naturally into your existing hairline.

03. Healing & perfecting

The area begins its initial healing over approximately 5 to 7 days, while the pigment continues to soften and settle afterwards. Once healed, your perfecting appointment allows your artist to assess retention and refine the density where required.

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT

Nano Hairline healing

Immediately after treatment, the hairstrokes will appear darker and more defined than the final healed result. As the skin recovers and the pigment settles, the strokes gradually soften and blend more naturally into the surrounding hairline.

Initial healing is typically around 5 to 7 days, although every client’s skin responds differently.

During this period, it is important to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your artist and avoid unnecessary irritation to the area.

This generally includes avoiding direct washing over the treated area during the first few days and staying away from swimming, saunas, steam and heavy sweating while the skin is healing.

Your perfecting appointment at approximately 4 to 6 weeks allows your artist to assess the healed pigment and add further detail or density where needed.

Your Hairline Tattoo questions, answered

That is the intention of the Nano Hairline technique. Ultra-fine strokes are individually placed to follow the direction of your existing growth and recreate the appearance of delicate baby hairs rather than a solid tattooed line.

The colour, stroke direction and density are all customised around your natural hairline.

Nano Hairline is a cosmetic hairline tattoo technique that uses an ultra-fine needle and digital machine to create individual hair-like strokes along sparse or recessed areas of the frontal hairline and temples.

Nano Hairline sits within the broader category of scalp micropigmentation, but the technique focuses on creating fine individual strokes through the highly visible frontal hairline rather than providing full-scalp density coverage.

Nano Hairline can create the appearance of greater density and a softer hairline through suitable areas of recession, particularly around the frontal hairline and temples.

It does not regrow hair or stop ongoing hair loss, so suitability and the area that can realistically be treated need to be assessed during consultation.

Yes. Thinning or recessed temples are one of the main areas treated with Nano Hairline. Fine strokes can be placed amongst and alongside the existing hair to create the appearance of greater density.

Smaller frontal bald or sparse areas may be suitable for treatment depending on their location, size and surrounding hair. Larger areas or full-scalp hair loss may require a different form of scalp micropigmentation that M Brows & Beauty does not provide.

No. Hairline tattoo does not stimulate or regrow hair. Nano Hairline uses cosmetic pigment to create the appearance of individual hairs and greater density in suitable areas.

Yes. Nano Hairline can be used for both men and women where the concern involves suitable areas of frontal thinning, recession or uneven density. The design is always adapted to the client’s existing hairline and facial structure.

Nano Hairline results generally last around 1 to 2 years, although longevity varies according to your skin, lifestyle, sun exposure, aftercare and individual pigment retention.

Topical numbing is used to help keep you comfortable throughout treatment. The ultra-fine machine technique is designed for precise placement with minimal surface trauma, although sensation varies between clients.

Initial healing generally takes around 5 to 7 days. The pigment continues to soften and settle afterwards before the healed result is assessed at your perfecting appointment.

You will receive specific aftercare instructions following your treatment. During the first few days, care needs to be taken to avoid directly soaking or irritating the tattooed area while the skin begins to heal.

Once the area has healed, Nano Hairline is designed to give you greater freedom to expose the frontal hairline rather than continually styling around sparse areas. During the initial healing period, follow the styling and aftercare guidance provided by your artist.

Pigment selection and placement are carefully considered around your natural colouring. Like all cosmetic tattoo pigment, the colour will gradually soften and fade over time, which is why refresh treatments may eventually be recommended.

No. A hair transplant surgically relocates real hair follicles. Nano Hairline is a cosmetic tattoo treatment that creates the appearance of fine hairs using pigment. There is no new hair growth involved.

Pricing depends on the area being treated, from a single temple through to more comprehensive frontal coverage. Your exact treatment recommendation and price are confirmed during your free consultation.

Yes. A perfecting appointment is generally recommended around 4 to 6 weeks after your initial treatment so your artist can assess how the strokes have healed and add further detail or density where needed.

Suitability depends on your skin, scalp condition, pattern of hair loss and overall health. Active skin or scalp conditions need to be resolved before cosmetic tattooing, and M Brows & Beauty does not perform cosmetic tattoo treatments during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
